USER GUIDE APP PORTAL
Overview
The App Portal is your central dashboard for accessing all the services provided by ElectricMonk. It uses Authentik for Single Sign-On (SSO), meaning once you are logged in, you can jump between services like Matrix, GitLab, or your personal website with ease.
Accessing the Portal
You can access the portal by navigating to your personal subdomain on the ElectricMonk network (e.g., portal.electricmonk.io).
Note: If you are accessing from outside the network, ensure your VPN or proxy is active if required.
How to Use the Portal
1. Logging In
When you first visit the portal, you will be redirected to the Authentik login page.
- Enter your credentials.
- Once authenticated, you will be redirected back to the App Portal dashboard.
2. Launching Applications
The dashboard displays a series of "cards" or icons representing your available applications.
- Click an Icon: To launch a service (e.g., Matrix Chat, GitLab, or the EM Portal), simply click on its card.
- Seamless Access: Most services are configured to recognize your active session, so you won't need to log in again for each individual app.
3. Managing Your Profile
From the portal (or the Authentik interface), you can often manage your user profile, change your password, or set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Troubleshooting
- Not seeing an app? If you are expecting to see a specific service but it isn't listed, please contact the administrator to ensure your user account has the correct permissions for that application.
- Session Expired: If you are suddenly prompted to log in again while using a service, your session may have expired. Simply return to the App Portal to re-authenticate.
